Continued research on hadoop lead me to a quite interesting site(will link later) appearently the ‘Lustre distributed file system’ has been used as an alternative to hdfs, haven’t done any experiments yet but will update you soon..

doing some research on direct solr index manipulation, …haven’t quite gotten the entire arch down in my head but my intention is to experiment with the full text and fuzzy logic capability when operating on a relational database type structure.
